Fish Fry

This is the easiest fish dish I know to make and the tastiest too. My mum's recipe and my all time favorite.



What you'll need..
  • 4-5 White fish steaks (Pomfret, Tilapia or any of your favorite kind)
  • 1/4 Tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 Tbsp Kashmiri chilli powder
  • 1/4 Tsp fresh cracked pepper
  • Lemon juice
  • 2 Tbsp Oil
  • 1 Tbsp chopped cilantro leaves
  • Salt to taste
How to..
  • Add salt to the fish steaks
  • Mix together turmeric, chilli powder and pepper.
  • Apply the spice rub evenly to all sides of the fish steaks.
  • Heat oil in a non stick heavy bottom flat pan. 
  • Fry the fish on medium heat, flipping sides occasionally, till both the sides are brown and crispy. About 4-5 minutes each side.
  • Garnish with lemon juice and cilantro leaves and serve hot.
