Chinese Fried Rice

This quick recipe is the perfect side for all your indo-chinese preparations like Chilli chickenGobi manchurian or Veg Manchurian.



What you'll need..
  • 1 Cup rice
  • 1/2 Cup shredded cabbage
  • 1/3 Cup corn (Fresh or frozen)
  • 1/3 Cup carrot cut into bits
  • 1/3 Cup green beans, french cut
  • 2 Green onions sliced
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/2 Tsp fresh cracked black pepper
  • 1 Tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 Tbsp oil
  • 1 Tbsp Soya sauce
  • 1/2 Tbsp Vinegar
  • 1 Tsp Ajinomoto/Msg (Optional)
  • Salt to taste
How to..
  • Cook the rice with salt and set aside to cool. 
  • Heat 1 Tsp oil in a large wok. Crack the egg and scramble with a pinch of salt till it's well cooked. Set aside.
  • In the same wok, heat the remaining oil. Add the ginger garlic paste and fry for 10-12 seconds till the garlic gets fragrant.
  • Add the cabbage, carrots, corn, beans and green onions and stir fry on high heat for 3-4 minutes stirring constantly.
  • Add salt, pepper and ajinomoto and mix well. 
  • Add soya sauce, vinegar and then the cooked rice and mix well. 
  • Now mix in the scrambled egg and serve hot.
